Hey guys,
So i just got an internship (paid!!) in a dental office that i was really looking for!! But the thing is I applied for this about 3 weeks ago and hadn't heard from them, but I got a call back today saying they want me! In the mean time I sorta, for lack of a better word, committed to a volunteering program called giving children hope. I haven't started either yet, and they were both scheduled to start next week and just my luck, they both conflict! Which one do you think I should go with? I don't have too much of volunteering/ community service under my belt and I only have the bare minimum 50 hrs of shadowing. I really wanna do the internship, but is there any compelling reason why I should do the volunteering instead? Thanks!

What will you be doing in this internship? See that it is paid, and will count as dental experience, I think this is the choice I would go with. It sucks to pull out of a commitment, but they should understand. You could talk to them and try to get a schedule that would work out.

Though I'm sure the volunteering experience would be great, I think I'd go with the dental internship, having that extra inside experience can really make your application shine, and then give you plenty to talk about during interviews. Congrats, and have some cool-hhwhip.
