hi guys,
I'm thinking of doing some volunteer/intership kindof thing the summer before I start medical school. Can you give me ideas of what you've done, where i can look for them, or cool things that exist out there.
My limitations:
I think it would keep life simple if I stayed in US.
1-4 months, full time thing.
It can't be fully volunteer, i need to make a living. (aka, i need some stipend or food/housing coverage).
I know about the DC internships, but i'm really NOT interested in
government and politics kindof stuff. It just bores me (except mental health issues). This is supposed to be a cool summer to have fun and get an interesting experience, so I want to do something I will enjoy as well as learn from.
I looked at americorps. and, well, i expected to find a lot more then I did...
I looked at goabroad.com, and their sub sites (they have things in US too). I found a few good things.
Thanks,
Sonya
