Hey there... I applied to KCOM as a sophmore in college (preosteopathic program), interviewed and was accepted. At that time, I had a 3.86 gpa and had not yet taken the MCAT. The next year I fell in love, got engaged, and decided that I wanted to be in KC rather than K-ville. I applied, interviewed, and got accepted to KCUMB with a 3.74 (3.65 sci), and a 24 MCAT. These are average parts of my application. The strong parts were that I have been doing a clinical research project (cool, but long story) for the last two years, have shadowed over 20 different physicians in a variety of specialties, and have volunteered out the wazoo. The low MCAT didn't even come up in the interview. I'm also from a very small town, and want to serve as a FP doc in a rural area in the future. (for real) Hope this helps... jamie KCUMB '11
