I have 3 interviews coming in the next couple of weeks. All three are panel interviews which makes me a little more nervous.
Any advice for interviewing at these schools?

I tried to find information about acceptance, but I only found average GPA/MCAT information.
Does anyone know what the %accepted per interview is?
I was a late applicant and worried about getting in this late in the season.

I can give u some advice about lecom-FL. The interview was really laid back... more like a conversation. they really want to get to know u as a person. the only bad part was the article summary

Thanks for that information. There is only one feedback for LECOM B. Is it just an article summary or do they quiz you?

LECOM-Erie was laidback as well. I had three interviewers. One was a lady from the business aspect of the school (super nice), the other was the dean of academics and an emergency medicine professor (he seemed disinterested until I brought up surfing and the fact that I work in an ER) and then there was a practicing DO that was very nice as well. The worst part was waiting to get called in for the actual interview. I was the last one to get called!! The article is really easy. Read it and jot down some notes. They literally just ask you to summarize what you got out of the article. Mine was on LVH (left ventricular hypertrophy) and it's etiology in obese adolescents. Hope that helps. Good Luck!

Oh and Erie extended their interviewing season, so I'd say chances are good, seems like they are looking for more applicants.

There's only one feedback under LECOM-Bradenton because they just recently added it as a choice on the site - until now, people were putting their feedback for the school under LECOM. So go through hte LECOM feedbacks and many of those will be for Bradenton.

They interviews are so relaxed. Just be yourself and tell them things they don't know about you. These things will make you stand out!! The article summary is easy and most of the questions come off of a sheet they have in front of them.

Great, thanks again for the feedback. I will be reviewing as much interview feedback as possible between now and then. Anyone else heading to interviews?

.

I interviewed at LECOM-Erie and WVSOM. As everyone else saif about LECOM, it was very relaxed. The worst part was the wait.

WVSOM was nice because we got a really nice breakfast and lunch at the General Lewis Inn. The staff and students were extremely friendly and helpful. Dress warm because there's some outside walking during the tour.

What was the article summary all about?

Do not worry about the article too much. It is not a difficult read.
I think they want to see how well you can retain information you have read. I rattled off the statistics in the article and gave a basic summary and had no trouble. Someone else was grilled a little more because they did not give statistics, but still said it wasn't bad.

My advice is jot down notes about it and quickly review before your interview (esp if you don't go first).

I also interviewed at WVCOM and LECOM-E. Absolutely loved both school. I would say that LE has a little more stressful interview, but that is only in minutia scale because both of the interviews are EXTREMELY laid back. I interviewed at MD schools and the osteopathic schools are a whole different ball-game. DO schools want to know you. My MD interview actually asked about my SAT scores, they were that focused on how they think you would do on boards that they went back that far to get standardized testing info. How lame. Anyways, LECOM's questions are all on the SDN feedback so get them ahead of time if you are worried. Good luck!!!
