Hey everyone,

I am a current OMFS resident and recently had someone ask me about saving money for their dental school interviews. The best decision I made was signing up for a southwest credit card and using it to pay for my applications. This was enough to qualify for bonus points and those points were enough to basically get me all my flights for free.

I ended up saving enough points on the same card through dental school to pay for all of my OMFS interview flights as well when money was extremely tight.

Right now they are having a special for 75,000 points sign up.

Highly recommend it, I really wish I could’ve charged my tuition on it.

(Pro tip is also if you can get a job tutoring just a little or really any form of income as a self employed person they will let you sign up for a business card as well, thats how I got a companion pass and my wife flew for free on all of my interviews for OMFS)

Regardless, this was the biggest money saving tip I had and have used many times now. I even book all my hotels and rental cars through the card to not only get bonus points but they give great offers on having free cancellation prices for everything.
