I have my first interview coming up. Any advice on preparation? What to wear, certain difficult questions I should be ready for, questions I should maybe prepare to ask the interviewers...

What to wear:

look professional. Business attire. Look good.

Questions to prepare for:

-How do you deal with stress? How will you deal with the workload?
-How do you work in groups?
-Tell us about yourself (so cliche but it really is a test to see if you can articulate)
-Would you tell on your classmate if he cheated? What would you do?
-What do you bring to the profession of physical therapy?
-What are your weaknesses?
-Name some of your biggest accomplishments.

There are more questions in other threads about interviews on this forum.

CURRENT ISSUES in physical therapy!! that one tripped me up in my first interview.

How in-depth do they want us to be with "current PT issues", Wondering where I could go study up for this one!

Check out the apta website! I just made it my homepage so everytime I got on the Internet I would look at it! 🙂

I googled 'pt school interview questions' and there are a lot of places that give possible questions. I then wrote out kinda what a response would be in bullets (because you don't want to come off rehearsed) in a word document.

As for the current issues make sure you know about Vision 2020, how Obamacare will affect PT's, etc... just comb over the APTA website under current issues and you will be golden.
