My application was complete with LORs, transcript,PS before i got interview invite.
MSPE waiting for nov 1st release.
going for IM.

  • IF PROGRAMS REVIEWED EVERYTHING BEFORE INVITE, then the chances of rejection/acceptance depends mainly on interview?
  • IF PROGRAMS DIDNT REVIEWED EVERYTHING except for board score BEFORE INVITE, then how LOR, MSPE,PS, Transcript changes chances?
  • Are 10 - 12 interviews enough to get sure shot spot for AMG ?
  • If 10- 12 interviews for spot is an avg, then i guess there are AMG who didn't got spot so it'd be wise to attend interview even if u have attended 10-12. Don't have 10- 12 yet.
  • When do u get rejection letter- before or after interview or both?

I'm kind of confused about what you're asking. But assuming you're entering the match.

for 1 and 2: Most programs use everything to decide where to rank you

3: Depends on your numbers, you need to talk to some of your advisers and get a good idea of your chances. Also look at NBME charting outcomes for FMGs.

4: I don't know what you're asking

5: If a place decides not to interview you, they may send you a rejection, they may just not send you an invitation. After the interview there are no 'acceptances or rejections" there is just the match.

I would get First Aid for the Match if you're about to enter the match, sounds like you don't really understand the process.

Between the inability write clearly and a total lack of understanding of the app/interview/match process I'm wondering if the OP is really an AMG as stated.

Well, I'm an AMG and i was confused when i posted but understood the process later after reading more on internet and talking to people.

Did you really mean it? I'm clueless once again. I thought all you had to do as far as the match was concerned was (after submitting your application and applying to programs), register with the NRPM match.

If it's not that simple, can you throw some light on what the process entails?

Well the OP was talking about post-interview acceptances/rejections - so clearly didn't understand the process. Really you can just read about it on NMRP. However, if you want to make sure you understand the process I do like FA for the Match.

Yes you apply on ERAS, register with NMRP and make your list.

SOOOO many people don't understand the match and how it works and how you end up where you end up. And I personally think its ridiculous to enter a process that decides the next 3-7 years of your life without understanding it - so yes I am a proponent of reading about it.
