unc seems to be very specific in their requirements. They give 40 % of the total points to the interview and rest of their personal statements. I am not talking about oos who also has to have stellar stats to go with it.
That is something to consider when applying to schools like that. If you good with interviewing skills and can handle your own in any social situation schools like unc, uf, pitt, louisville would be good choices when applying...
returning to the original op question those tables done by doc toothache also show that if person applied and interviewed at the schools from the top where acceptance is 75 % or more than it is more likely that having 4 interview pre dec will lead you to 3 or even 4 acceptances come dec 1.
If one interviewed conn instate and ucla, nyu and uop pre dec you will most likely see 4 acceptances coming dec 1.
Otoh if one interviewed marquette instate and louisville, ne and llu you might have 0 acceptances come dec 1 simply by virtue of lower acceptance rate...
