After a pharmacy school interview, is it customary to send a thank you card?
I don't want to look like I am kissing up, but I also would like to thank the school for their hospitality.

If your intentions are to put a little more butter on their bread, then I think it's pointless. But if you really feel so in debt for their gratitude, then send em a card....oohh or maybe you can send em a Harry & David basket, they got incredible pears!
All joking aside, I has the same thought after my interviews, I decided against a thank you letter. I thanked them for their time at the end of the interviews and waited for the mailman to deliver my sentence.

I probably won't send them a thank you card...it'll just add on to the admissions mail to sort. I was just thinking that it is polite to send a thank you card.

FYI, our Dean of Pharmacy gave a presentation about interviewing and resumes and in his presentation he specifically said you should sent a thank you note after being interviewed.
Last year I debated whether or not to send one when they interviewed me and opted not to. Obviously it didn't really hurt me because I was accepted but it is considered appropriate and polite.
I would just send one.

During our interview session, the dean specifically said "dont send thank you cards". I know its polite and all but I think its a better idea to just thank them at the end of ur interview.

I sent thank you cards to each of the interviewers (2) and to the admissions secretary who did a lot of the planning and manuevering of students during the interview process. I don't know that it's necessary, but it is a nice touch. I felt better for having done it.

It certainly didn't hurt me. I was accepted. Those that I sent cards to mentioned to me at the orientation they remember my cards. Do what you feel is right for you. 🙂

I would abolutely send a thank you card. I dont beleive it will cause you to get turned down! It could only help and possibly make you stick out more than someone else. I sent a card, and one of my interviewers stated that they were impressed because my card was the first one that they had ever received after an interview.👍
