Does an invitation for an interview from NYU mean anything? What I would like to know is does everyone who meet the requirements receive an interview, or is it more of a selective progress where only applicants they are considering an acceptance receive an interview?

Does anyone know how many people NYU gives invitations for an interview
(225 accepted applicants/total # of applicants received an interview)?

Any help would be great...

according to the ADEA Official guide to Dental Schools:
there are 2036 applicants for NYU in 2001. and 241 accepted.
You are looking at .118% acceptance rate. I am sure that your invitation to interview has boosted this percentage up quite a bit
