This might sound like an odd question but how do interviewers view short trimmed beards? Are they considered unprofessional? The reason why I ask this is because the beard makes me look my age and more professional as opposed being clean shaved. Also, I feel more comfortable and myself when with a beard. Any comments would be greatly appreciated!

cleanly shaved 👍

even if I've had the beard for a few years and makes me look professional lol.. I just someone to agree with me but it looks like the general consensus is clean shaven

I will have a neatly trimmed beard. It will need to be perfect though. If for whatever reason I shave wrong and screw up a line here or there, I will go clean shaven.

If you have had a beard for that long, chances are you will have a funky tan line when you shave it. Which would either A. look really weird or B. necessitate you wearing makeup to fix it .

So, you have my vote to keep it! I don't see the issue with a neatly trimmed beard.

(most guys are just jealous you can grow a nice beard. No-shave-November was hideous at my school with all the patchy beard/moustache concoctions growing 👎)

I was doing a clinical research internship when I was in college, and I really wanted to grow out my beard - it grows in patchy and the fills out, so I look horrendous for the first month of so, I asked my supervisor if it would be considered unprofessional of me to come into work looking a mess like that if I was trying to grow out the beard....jerk thought it would be funny to poll everyone in the department via email, and then said "yeah, no big deal, do what you want"....if I ever go back there, I'm making damn sure I have a beard lol

I went to all my interviews with a mustache/goatee trimmed of course. Multiple acceptances so it did not hurt my interviews.

as long as you are neatly trimmed, i wouldn't worry about it. If i were you I would keep the beard b/c u mention you feel comfortable in it.

Shave it off!! It looks more professional, plus us ladies prefer it that way 😍

Speak for yourself!!😉 I love clean beards! Keep it, clean👍 I'm sure you know you will prob. have to shave it, eventually, so enjoy it while you can.

I might be the odd ball here, but depending on the man, beards can look hot? teeheehe On another note, I think a well-cleaned-trimmed... not-too-bushy... beard can look professional and make one look more mature. Then again, that's just my weird opinion. If you want to be on the safe side, you can never go wrong with a clean shave though! 🙂

Those are certainly not for dental school interviews.

I wasn't speaking specifically with regards to an interview, just daily up-keep for men. And yes, east coast girls are the best 😉
