I stayed at the Red Roof Inn when I interviewed last year, and would not choose that again. It was the cheapest, but more like a motel with the front door exiting to the parking lot. Also, the noise from a nearby truck in the parking lot and neighbors was somewhat annoying (although I suspect you'll get a different neighbor). There are a lot of hotels in the area, so I would choose the next-best based on price.
There isn't really a bad area of town I should warn you to steer clear of, as this is a pretty upscale area. If you have any questions about specific hotels, let me know, and I'll try to drive by it and report back.
Good luck with your interview, and congratulations on getting on early interview.
