Hi moserd, you might want to check this thread out:
http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=99388&highlight=question
...also check out the feedback area, there are more recent question examples than I have listed.
...and search some of my past posts regarding ethical type questions, you'll get one or two of them (what you feel about cheating, etc.), and perhaps a problem solving question (for those, there is no right/wrong answer, it's about how you answer them...they want to see your "gears turning"). The school is big on teamwork, be prepared to give your thoughts regarding a team member either not pulling his weight or dealing with an overbearing, assertive team member. Do the usual self-inventory (favorite heroes, authors, volunteer experiences, leadership experiences, examples of compassion/empathy you've had to display). "why do you want to become a pharmacist" may come up. As usual, have about 3 well thought out questions to ask upon conclusion of the interview when asked for.
You'll have about 30 minutes for your interview, a panel of 3 will usually conduct this: either 2 faculty and a student, or 1 faculty, 1 practicing pharmacist, and 1 student. Just relax, everyone here is friendly. You'll probabably have about 30 minutes for your short essay (I forgot how long exactly). Simple topics, usually just to prompt you into writing. The goal is to see your organization and writing skills. Write a good thesis and work from there.
The campus is literally down the street from the airport, about 10 minutes because of all the lights. You follow Sunset Road east away from the airport and go straight until it becomes Sunset Way...campus is at the end of the cul-de-sac on the left side. I posted a mapquest link for directions in a thread the other day...click "search" button under my post, you'll see it. The most direct direction from the airport involves exiting the airport on Russel Road and travelling east, make a right on Mountain Vista, left on Sunset Way to the end of the cul-de-sac...see the map for a visual representation of this.
Closest hotel to the campus is "Sunset Station" hotel/casino (corner of Sunset Road and Stephanie), we also have a courtyards by marriot down the street as well (near corner of Green Valley Parkway and Sunset Road). Or you could stay on the strip and hit the slots...maybe you'll win the megabucks jackpot and you can skip this whole pharmacy school thing all together
Hope this helps, and good luck!
