Hey guys, I'm gong on my interview tomorrow. Anyone got any advice/tips for me? I started the whole process late. Sent in my app mid march. Just wondering if anyone who has already gone throught process can give me some feedback. Anything in particular to look out for?

The interviewers at Western like to ask ethical questions. I got two of those. One question had to do with how I would defend scientific progress to a roommate concerned with animal rights and the other had to do with a foreign dignitary that received an organ transplant ahead of other patients on a waitlist. I don't think they're looking for any specific answer; they just want to see how you respond to the question. Aside from the actual interview, the process is pretty laid-back. They take you on a tour, have lunch, go over curriculum (briefly) and financial aid, etc. From what I last heard, they still have a good number of seats available. Good luck! Feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions. 🙂

I agree with Truckibear...they're kinda heavy on ethics questions. For my interview, I looked at the SDN Medical School Interview Feedback, and that helped a lot! You should pay attention during orientation and ask questions about things you may find confusing (i.e. curriculum, rotations, etc). Try to get a feel for the place, and try to talk to some current med students. Since it's the day before your interview, try to relax and get a good night's sleep. At this point, there is really NO point in stressing out...just be yourself and know what you put down in your application. Good luck tomorrow!!!

I never got any ethics questions at COMP. Just relax and enjoy your day there.

Me neither. He just wanted to know why I changed to medicine.

Funny thing is when i asked Gloria Arizmendez about the intverview, she said it was closed file. However, everybody put open on the interview feedback page. Also, aside from the ethics, do they generally ask problem solving questions?

Just be confident that they invited you because they liked what they saw... just be presentable and know why D.O., why you had a bad semester (stuff on interview feedback). I wasn't asked anything about ethics either. See you tomorrow!!

I never had those either. They just wanted to know more about me, why DO, why COMP, and other standard things.
