Would it be acceptable to plan on wearing a tie with the school colors during the interview? I was looking at the bicolored rugby striped ties for to go with my black suit.

As long as it looks professional, go for it.

I did this for one of my interviews. But they are a huuuuge on sports and school pride. I hoped it would convey the subconscious message, "This kid just looks like he belongs here..." haha

I'll find out in a month or 4 if it worked. 🙂

But I agree with the above, it still must look professional.

Nice tryut I guarantee you that it will never register for a second on any interviewer.

Just look and act professional. Be yourself.

I was just going to say the only tool who would notice is the person giving the tour or their director of admissions.

The other interviewers between lectures or patients won't give a crap...

I unknowingly wore a purple blouse to my DMU interview. The interviewers ended up really liking it! They asked me if I purposely wore the school colors. I laughed and just said that my undergrad colors were purple so I have a lot of purple clothes. I was accepted 2 weeks later so I guess wearing the school colors didn't hurt. 🙂

Guess that's why we don't say "never" or "any." :meanie:
