What are the female applicants wearing to their interview? Pant suit or skirt suit? Also, what kind of blouse is appropriate? Obviously, not sheer tops... but are ruffles to much? Also, what kind of shoes are good to wear... I want to wear pumps but I feel kind of weird wearing pumps to a PODIATRY school interview... help 🙂

I prefer a pant suit, but if you're more comfortable in a skirt, be sure its below the knee.

Yes, ruffles are too much.

Wear flats or something slightly elevated, but do not wear anything over a 1 inch heel, it is weird.

Essentially you should dress as if you're interviewing for a job, not going to a Gaga or Jay Z concert. So, no crazy colors, ruffles, short dresses, meat dresses, jeans (yes, I've seen guys do this), white socks (seriously guys, get some dress socks), T-shirts, or high-heels.

Good luck.

The Limited has some really nice suits that aren't too pricey. I'm wearing pants just because I feel more comfortable in them.

I am also wondering what to wear underneath my jacket. Once I button it up you can only see a little bit underneath so would a lace camisole be OK?
It's a plum color and I have a grey colored suit and I will be wearing heels that are about 1 inch.

Good Luck!

We recently had a woman come in to speak to us for our Women Podiatrists club and she said that when you are interviewing (school, residency, job) the people will accept you if they either want to do you or they want to work with you. Make sure they are picking you for the latter because it will work out better for you in the end. It's best to try to be professional and not cute.

Awww congrat!

So for my interview I ended up wearing a pant suit that I bought from Ann Taylor and a grey sleeveless blouse from H&M. I'm very petite, so it was REALLY hard for me to find a good fitting suit. Ann Taylor has a really nice petite section.. so if you girls are looking for a nice place to guy suits, check them out.

Plus, you get 20% off if you show your college id. 🙂

Just remember to be confident on the day of your interview.. don't leave home without it!
