What is the appropriate dress for an interview? I know that guys have to wear suits but do we have to wear a vest or is it acceptable just wear a shirt/tie and the suit jacket?

T-shirt and basketball shorts should be fine.

You really shouldn't fool around with this stuff, Nick. It might be funny to some, but this was a serious question, albeit not well researched (at all).

A T-shirt and basketball shorts are never okay. If basketball shorts are worn, a matching basketball jersey should also be worn along with the appropriate basketball shoes. Never be caught out of uniform, it is a serious sign of immaturity and lack of professionalism.

Do you recommend any particular accessories as well? Tattoos, jewelry, piercings, etc? What about hair styles?

Men must have a requisite level of either a) knowledge or b) flamboyance to pull off a vest as a piece semi-formal attire.

By asking this question you demonstrate that you lack the appropriate knowledge, so unless you want the word "Flamboyant" scribbled in the margins of your file, leave the vest at home.
