Interview attire?

You must be feeling pretty good to have this on your mind right now.

Soo....is that a no on the skinny tie? If you don't believe in yourself why would anyone else?

You're going to get differing answers from people about it. I'm thinking most are going to say no on the skinny because they'll suggest it's too casual. Don't take my comment too seriously up there, I'm just kidding because it's the first 'attire' thread of many more to come. You're just planning ahead while you wait. Understandable. Be sure you're comfortable. Some suggest that the fit of the suit is more important than the color and quality and such. If you feel good about a three-piece and that it's something you could wear to a job or something professionally, then rock it with pride and don't let the comments about only dark suits with 2 buttons and square shoulders distract you. If you want a pink or blue shirt, go for it. You'll see a variety of dress when you hit the pavement for interviews. Uncombed hair. Fauxhawks. White ankle socks are a favorite of mine. And sheer blouses and short skirts from some of the ladies. My friend who I shared hotels/cars with a couple of times rocked light-colored slacks and a blazer. He got a massive amount of acceptances that I attribute to his personality and application. He was confident and is just likeable. It was fun walking into the group of other interviewees and knowing they were all thinking, "Is this guy serious? He's breaking the rules!" I know this is all important and a big deal, but it's not something that shouldn't be stressed about too much. I'm sure you'll do fine just because you're taking the effort to think about it now instead of the night before rummaging through dad's closet to find a tie that doesn't look like it's from the 70s.

Good luck!
