Interview call?

I got an interview call for the alternate list, anyone know what that means? What are the chances of getting in?

It means that they are willing to give you an interview, but by saying that it is for the alternate list, they are letting you know that at the moment, their class is full. However people with acceptances may also have acceptances at other schools and so they may choose other schools at which point people off of the alternate list would be granted admission.

Hopefully my rambling makes sense. haha
