Hi, I just received two invitations to interview. I bought a pantsuit (I am a woman) that is black with tiny blue dots that are only visible in close range. And I bought a white blouse to wear under the coat. Is it acceptable?

I read it somewhere saying that a feminine pantsuit is on the daring side. Is it true? I am much more comfortable wearing pants than skirt, that's why I bought the pantsuit. Now I am worried that if I should return it.

What about jewelry such as necklace and earrings?

Thank you!

I'm a guy, but I think you will be fine with pant suits. I have seen several women with pant suits on interviews.

Also I think jewelry is fine as long as it is not too flashy. Moderation is the key in interviews.

Some online advisors recommend a pantsuit due to the amount of walking. I don't think it would be at all inappropriate.

I also bought pantsuit...i dont think it'll be a problem.

skirts are better, at least, if I were an adcom Id think that.

I also have a pantsuit, and I feel more comfortable in a pants than a skirt.
From personal experience, comfortable in clothing = more confidence.
Wear what makes you comfortable.
Be conservative in jewelry, keeps earrings small.

Hope this helps!

I will be wearing a pant suit also--if I get an interview. I just sent some of my first secondaries out the end of last week. I personally think ad coms could care less about whether one is wearing pants or a skirt, as long as one is dressed professionally. Why would they care if one did not uphold the social construct of femininity? In fact, Im thinking about wearing a tie. 😉
