How formal do you think we should write our interview confirmation email?

this is just a guess, but when I interviewed at Case, I was stuck sitting in the admissions office for awhile and was watching the 2 administrative assistants working and being swamped by huge amounts of data to process. I'm guessing that it will be people like them receiving your acceptance, and they can probably care less about what you say, just be polite, succint, and clear. Don't go into a rant about how excited you are to interview at such an exceptional school, etc etc. Thats my opinion, but I would probably only do a couple lines.

Short and sweet... Usually starting with:

1. Hello
2. followed by a "I just recieved an invite and would like to schedule/confirm for this date" so they know why they should reply
3. followed by "Thank you" so you sound polite
4. finally a "Best Regards", "Regards" or "Best" with your name on the bottom.

Also, for the subject heading it should be something relevant to the interview and its best NOT to use your hotmail if you have an "unique" handle...
