Interview Days

Long time lurker here with a quick question for the administrative folks in academics.

How do you guys go about handling time off for interviews during the CA 3 year. Traditionally I believe that they were classified as academic days at our program not vacation time, but this is not within the wording of the ABA's guidelines so my program is trying to find a way to stay within their rules. Currently we can have only 60 days off total for the 3 years (CA1-CA3).

Any input would be appreciated.

We get 5 non clinical days for fellowship or job interviews as CA2 or CA3s. Works fairly well. Not part of the vacation time.

Our school allows five days to interview that are not charged to vacation but do count toward your 60 missed days.
