I recently went on a med school interview and my interviewer ended the interview with "this has been an incredibly pleasant interview." I know that I'm being completely paranoid but I'm not really sure how to take this. "Pleasant" definitely isn't a negative word, but it isn't the most positive word either. Clearly, with no acceptances yet (I have yet to hear back from the six schools I've interviewed at so far), I'm overanalyzing everything haha

What do you guys think?

adjective 1. pleasing, agreeable, or enjoyable; giving pleasure:

Pleasant is a good thing IMO 😉

Seriously? "Pleasant" is definitely a positive word... chillax.

I think you should be happy he commented on how the interview went at all. I really can't see him commenting if he thought it went awful. If he were to comment- I think he would only do it if he liked you.

I once got: "this has been a very enjoyable conversation" Replace enjoyable with pleasant and I think the meaning is still the same!

But just because your interviewer liked you- its not a guarantee you'll get it. There is the entire committee meeting after all. But I think he will fight for you- good luck.

I agree with what the others have said. Take it as another way of saying "it was nice meeting/talking with you."
