Hello to all and happy holidays.
I am starting this thread in hopes that people will begin to post their experiences during their interviews for GS. I myself am in the process of interviewing and my experiences have been varied. It is occasionally tough to get a good picture of what other applicants think, especially while actually at a program. Of particular interest to me are the NYC and Boston programs, however obviously include anything relevant. Good luck with everything. I think it would be helpful to include the following in any replies, as well as anything else you deem relevant that may or may not be openly advertised by a program.
1. Program
2. Interview with Chair? PD?
3. Unusual Questions? Clinical Scenarios? Illegal Questions?
4. What you thought was good/bad about program?
5. Was their any follow up from program to you? Others?
6. How many applicants did you interview with?
7. Finally, your overall feelings about the program. . . did you find the attending staff arrogant? Where they disinterested in the process? Etc. Etc.
8. Any talk of people leaving the program for any reason fired/quit?
9. Any talk of ACGME impending probation, or citations?
