1) I am interviewing at this same medical school 2 days after the job interview. How should I approach questions about time commitment? (Looking at my resume I think it's fairly obvious I'm on the pre-med track... I have some clinical research experience but no bench research. Obviously I want to be honest, but I also don't want to blow my chances for the job by talking about med school admissions...)

2) What is appropriate attire? For some reason I feel like a full suit & tie is a little too formal. Is that true? I was thinking a dress shirt + tie, but no jacket

Thanks for any advice you may have! 🙂

I've definitely struggled with that. I am now working a labor job making crap money with a degree in neurobiology...lame. Everyone I know told me to lie to potential employers about the fact that I am starting med school in august. I didn't feel comfortable being dishonest and none of the awesome labs I interviewed at were interested in having someone for less then two years. I ended up working for some friends making crappy money and lifting heavy and sometimes sharp stuff. At least I'm not ****ing anyone over...and struggling to pay my rent has been really great.

A suit shows you take them seriously. At the least it shouldn't count against you. I'd wear one.

Just don't lie. I wouldn't volunteer to tell them that you are applying to medical school, but you haven't got in yet (right?) so saying something along the lines of
"I hope to be here for quite some time" isn't necessarily a lie (right?) because if you don't get into med school, I am assuming you would want to be there.
