In need of some advice. So I have an interview for a hospital job and spent all my years in retail. Any key questions I should be ready for? I assume I will be asked why I want to switch to hospital job, whats a good response? I know no one wants to hear stuff like sick of retail, etc...

I have nothing specific to offer - however, depending on the position, they may test your clinical knowledge. Wouldn't hurt to review beforehand.

You need to specify. A hospital job literally means nothing.

An outpatient pharmacy within a hospital is still retail.

Given your background expect basic clinical questions- antibiotic dosing and spectrum, anticoagulant monitoring, as well as scenario based questions (i.e. 3 requests happen at once and you're alone, how do you prioritize).

Don't guess if you are unsure of an answer, but know what sources are the standard to find the answers.

I work in a hospital now after many years in retail. I got no specific clinical questions.
