I know this around time is quite late to get interview invitation.

NYUCD is the only school I applied and waited so long

Finally got an email for interview invitation.

Is it true that I have just mere chance to get accepted?

I really want to go to New York!

I need lots of suggestions/help/Advice on preparation for the interview.

Considering most of their class is mostly filled and people are getting waitlisted, I think it's safe to say you have a pretty slim chance. I mean, you should go interview anyway since its you only applied there. But don't get your hopes up. Why didn't you apply to more schools??? You're potentially wasting time and playing with alot of risks by applying only to NYU

My concern is " How do I convince them ".

Anyways I guess I just have to prepare well to make it happen.

dont let too many people scare you away by saying 'oh they are only waitlisting people right now' or 'you have slim chances'. I interviewed at the END of March last year, and I got in without being waitlisted and of the people who interviewed with me more than 4 of them got in. So chill out and take everything you read on here with a grain of salt.

Wouls it be safe to say that NYU's waitlist moves a lot?

I think you have a great chance of getting in if your interviewing this late. I interviewed mid march and got accepted about 10 days later. Best of luck to you

The interview is really laid back and I think it really depends on who is interviewing you. Read the Interview feedback section and you will get a good idea (although none of those questions were asked at my interview, it was just a long conversation with my interviewer)

the interview is early mourning on april 5th.

the admission officer said it would be one on one interview type.

he also advised me not to lose hopes bc there are still a few seats left.

"if he likes you, you are in! haha" he said.

i think i will be in panic.

I did not get accepted, I was waitlisted.

Its not just about the interview, the ADCOM meets again and then they decide.

My interviewer ended my interview saying that she really likes me and that she would love to see me here next year. She also said that she will write me the strongest recommendation.

Apparently, even after that I was still waitlisted.

Hoping to get off the waitlist soon
