If you do not feel comfortable giving your stats, would you just speculate as to what PCAT score and pre phamacy gpa you think is needed for Texas? I am starting to give up. Sorry for the negative tone but I am sure you know how difficult it is. Thanks again

... I understand how you feel... we all are pretty much in the same boat.. waiting and hoping. But dont give up yet... Just know that you tried your level best, and a door will be opened for you as well.

I got back from Houston really really late... flight got delayed 2 hrs... so didnt get home until 1 am!!!

I checked SDN even before I checked my email... and then I thought oh no i didnt get an invite... cuz i didnt read the word "e-mail" properly... but YAY I have an interview too... I'm thinking Friday though... just drive up there in the morning 🙂))

Good Luck to everyone whos interviewing this coming wknd, and everyone else - dont give up hope... They are just starting, and I'm sure you guys will be hearing from them soon too.

I recall the Main app taking about a month to process. That is from when I completed my Main app (after the pharm one) to when my transcripts were finally forwarded to the pharmacy school.

A month?!!? Oh geez... I hope you all are right in saying that UT still accepts people at the very end of their interviews...

i know they said that if all goes well with your interview, and they're certain they want you, you hear back in roughly 2 weeks. if they're not sure, then they save you for later and review you after they interview all the peope.

they took about 3 weeks to get my stuff from main admissions to the cop. eekk!!

It takes a while for the transcripts to get to UT COP... mine took a while too... i'd say about 3 wks. So hopefully you'll get the "app complete" email sometime this wk. I dont know the reason for the delay, but most prob its cuz they receive wayyyyyyy more apps than other schools... i mean come on its #2 --- so maybe thats y it takes a while to process. Besides UT Main has to process not only pharm schools apps, but all the other freshman/transfer students as well... so that just adds even more to the load.

You best bet is just to wait... i pretty much checked my status online couple of times a day.

Now I have 2 questions.

1) Does your MAIN app have to be completed before they even look at the COP app?
2) Are you all in state?

Yes i am in state... and i guess u already have your answer to the first Q... your file is complete, when both UT main and UT COP apps are completed, and UT COP receives your transcripts, recomm, PCAT score, etc...!

I hear East Bolivia is pretty competitive. There was an article last month in Newsweek about the shortage of Bolivian pharmacists. You probably read it. Anyway, you'd be better off trying West Bolivia, or maybe Bolivia State.

I called today.. got a 3pm slot for friday.. she said there are plenty open though. I hope u get your desired timing.. if u have class all day tomorrow too --- try taking a 2 min. break and calling... thats all it took.. 🙂

They have not sent out all their letters for interviews yet. They've only had one round of interviews so don't lose hope.

My interviewers told me that we (the people that interviewed on 2/18/06) should be hearing back by the end of March. But I was told by some pharm students that if they REALLY like you then you should hear back within 2 weeks and if they're not sure about you, you'd be put under regular admissions so that your application and interview be re-evaluated.
