interview grp left w/out me!

hi there.
i'm just gonna post an event i experienced...and wondering what u think THIS PERSON was thinking...

ok..i'm gonna TRY to keep this anonymous...so i hope THIS PERSON i'm talking about doesn't use SDN.

ok so here it is.
i was @ an interview and i had to use the lil lady's room. I had already rushed ahead so that no one would really need to wait long for me (and i pee fast for a girl anyways! ) i specifically (& kindly) asked THIS PERSON to tell the rest of the grp to wait for me and to NOT leave me.

but i came out..and POOF they were gone. they had already gone downstairs and out of the building, crossing the road.

what do u think of that? 😕
(my friends thought maybe the person bringing us around said we didn't have time to wait..but i HIGHLY doubt it...the whole day was super chill)

that's alot to ask someone in such a high stress environment, imho. the more diligent act may have been to either notify the group coordinator before and left for your rendez-vous with monsieur toilette. personally, i would've held it and loved it... keeps you on your toes if you know what i mean!!

it was NOTa group coordinator @ the time, they were really chill/relaxed dental students. i didn't think it was a big deal getting this person to relay the msg...but apparently it IS?

but it's true...if i held it in...it would've kept me on my toes...or i could've exploded too..either one would've been fun to experience..i'm sure

You got tooled! Person was like yah, she is on the crapper so lets just leave fruity behind. That person obviously knew that you couldn't say anything too them, without causing a scene. Screwed you over and avoided conflict, score plus the foul. Plus this person knew that leaving you behind makes you look like you're incomptent or just a loly gager and they scored again. Final score Fruity =0 and backstabber=2

Not like you could run out of the bathroom like george Can't stand yah, with your pants down you're ankles, yelling vandlay industry, vandlay industry, but in you're case (substitute what you would say here).

1) person forgot to tell the group that you were tinkling
2) person intentionally forgot to tell the group you were tinkling

If it is the latter, then this individual was eliminating the competition by making you look bad. Mean people in this world! I wouldn't have done that to you Fruity! What happened when you found the group?

i have to give a lil more credit to this person...cuz i'm SURE s/he did NOT forget, it took 2 mins for me to whiz!

i didn't think it would do ANY good to confront this person...it crossed my mind to [cheerfully] say "hey...hehehe...u left me!"
but i didn't think it would help... cuz what could s/he say? "yeah, sorry?"

so instead in my head i "yelling vandlay industry, vandlay industry"!

anyways..temple interview was grrrreeeat....although there were several questions asked, and i got asked last each time. :S

i would have asked the student leading the tour if i was you, or just held it no matter what... i mean you could just as easily have asked as they could. if you asked them to do it because you didnt want to stand out or create a scene with the tour guides, chances are this other student didn't want to either. plus as was said earlier they could have just been a shyer, not speaking up kind of person anyway on top of it being an intimidating interview day situation. i do see how you could be upset at the person though if they told you they would do it. they should have just straight out told you they wouldn't in the first place if they didn't plan on doing it.

It's not bad that you catch up the group soon enough. At my Temple interview, there was a candidate who got into situation just like yours, and he could not find us until the tour was over. I was not sure if he asked anyone to hold the group though.

Well said and i 100% agree.

another thing that other have mentioned is that s/he wanted to make you look bad.. which is also possible. Everyone who has been on interviews has noticed some seemingly super nice people there that would kill the rest of the group if they could (doing anything to decrease the competition). And this is nothing but the evidence of their lack of confidence and appropriate credentials.

Moral of the story: If you want a job done right, do it yourself!!!
