How many interviews do people usually go to? I have over 8 interviews already and it is overwhelming getting dates together. Don't get me wrong I am very thankful but just wondering.

It depends on what you mean by "people." If you mean 4.0/40+ MCAT, they usually go 10+ interviews.

Hoping to be like you next year! How many schools did you apply to? I'd say go to all of them though (as long as you can realistically see yourself going there), just plan efficiently.

Usually depends on when you get your first acceptance. Until you get accepted somewhere, you really should take the interviews that are offered to you unless money is a problem. I got 10 II's and only went to 8 interviews because I knew I wouldn't go to the other two schools over the schools I had been accepted to.

8 interviews already!?! 😱

As mentioned above, I'd go to every single interview until I received an acceptance at one of them.

I'd hitchhike/walk/crawl to every single interview I was offered until I had an acceptance. Get there. Find a way.

If you have interview invites at schools that announce decisions on October 15th, you should definitely go to those first. If you schedule some of the ones that you're less psyched about for after October 15th, you could potentially withdraw if you get accepted before those dates.

Also congratulations on the 8 interview invites, that's really impressive!

Holy.... 8 already? I thought I was high with 4... but guess not  I agree, go to every interview until you get into a school of your choice... then be more selective.

Schedule the interview to a school you consider a safety early so you can get a feel for interviewing. Then go to the interviews at the schools you not to go to. Schedule the schools you would be least likely to go to later in the year, so if you get an acceptance, you can easily cancel them.

But yes, you should go on every interview until you get an acceptance.

I have one interview invite and it is an hour away from me. 😎

Maybe you shouldn't have tried so hard on your MCAT?

Honestly, the number of interviews you have means nothing because you still might not get into medical school. There was a thread on here last week about someone who got 6 interviews and was rejected everywhere. Don't be that person.

Focus on attending and nailing every single interview. Then come back here in October when you hopefully get an acceptance somewhere.
