When do most people interview, is early february too late. I am asking because I am trying to plan my 4th year schedule. Is it better to interview early, before they see a lot of candidates, or is it better to go later like late january/ early february and impress just before the schools do their rank listing. actually, when do schools rank candidates. thanks

None of the programs I interviewed with even offered interview dates in February....most didn't even interview toward the last week of January, if I remember correctly. This thread is better off in the ERAS/NRMP forum. It's been discussed to death already this interview season, whether there's any benefit to interviewing late or early in the season. Consensus is it really doesn't matter, interview when it's convenient for you.

But definitely don't count on early Feb as potential interview dates, it is unlikely you will find many programs interviewing that late into the season.
