Interview invitees to accepted student ratio?

I know this was discussed a bit in last year's interview invite thread and varies by year and school, but in general, how many people are invited to interview for each "slot," either by POI or for the entire program as a whole?

It really, really varies -- some programs only bring 1-2 for each spot, others 10-12. (Sorry, I know you don't want to hear it varies...but it does.) I had a tough time gauging the numbers for a few of my interviews. If you forced me, I would guess it was generally 2-6ish except for a few.

As noted, it varied, but usually between 2 and 4 per slot.

My program typically interviews around 40 people and accepts 10-15.

My program does about 20-25 interviews for 4(ish?) slots depending on the year.
