Does anyone know the policy regarding reviewing of the applications? Do competitive programs not offer interviews until LOR's are in? I only have 1 of 4 in and my MSPE is still pending. Panic now or later?

I submitted my app last Sunday and for almost every program I'm missing a LOR. I have yet to receive any interview invites. Perhaps programs want to see all LORs in, or more likely, it's just still early in the game.

Per the IM program director at my home institution, most competitive programs will not start reviewing your file until all of your LoRs are in. Some also wait for the MSPEs. So sit tight.

Thanks for the help. I've heard from my home institution and a couple other places which were supposed to be my "safeties" so I became a little anxious. I reviewed some of the websites of the programs and they're in more or less agreement with what your PD said. I think I just wish it was 3/16 already. 😎
