Just curious

When should we start expecting interview invites? I've talked to some people who have multiple invites for FP, Peds, and Neuro. I still got one program that hasn't downloaded my app yet!
 
I read on the general residency forum that Georgetown already has given a few invites.
 
Georgetown invited on Wed 9/6 via email.
 
UTSW sent out invites by email only (no ERAS message) on Friday
 
for those who have gotten interviews, how complete was ur application? (aside from the MSPE and photo of course). most of mine are in except LOR3/3 so im not sure when to expect them to start giving them out.

i haven't heard anything yet .. soo 👎
 
Received an invite from Carolina Medical Center in Charlotte, NC!
 
Received a "thank you for applying. we look forward to reviewing your completed application."
 
my app was complete (LORs, terrible picture, transcript, etc.) with the exception of the IM department chairman's letter
 
my application was also complete except for the mspe, which isn't available until nov. 1. I submitted my application on the Sept. 3, 2006; I feel pretty blessed to have an interview this early in the game.

This AM got interview offer in IM from Northwestern. They also wrote that they want me to apply to their "PSTP" program (Research type track).

Does your personal statement just scream "academic medicine?" Just curious what they may be basing this on.
 
Just got IM invite from UT in Memphis!
 
My PS doesn't scream academic medicine, as far as I can tell (at least I did not write it with that in mind). I do have a lot ofresearch experience. Maybe they saw my CAF publications/experience. I don't know. I'm actually surprised that they actually read a lot of the app already.

Hi Omar, Did you also apply to a PGY2 at Jackson? I was told that their Prelims positions al all designated. How did they contact you? Thanks

yeah, i actually applied for their radiology program (pgy2) but havent heard from that one yet. They contacted me via ERAS messages and email (check your junk mail).

Henry Ford, Detroit Michigan sent out an email (ERAS) saying they would be making a final desicion on 3 to 4 weeks.
 
University of Illinois at Chicago sent out an invite probably 2 or 3 days ago.
 
Just got University of Florida/Jacksonville invite for IM!!!!!
 
Finally got one! U of Arizona. No longer checking my ERAS profile to see if my email was typed in wrong. Question for all you.. How long can you wait to schedule your interview?... im waiting on another program in phoenix to let me know

I also received one from U of A and I am also waiting on Mayo-Scottsdale. It's nice to finially get an offer.
 
Hey - just curious (since I am seeing all these interview notices and have none - just 2 "thank you for your interest" emails) .... has anyone been offered an interview without all of you LOR in? I only have 3/4 uploaded for IM (one of the 3 is my dept chair letter, though).

Anyway, just curious?

Thanks a lot... it's nice to read where other people are at in this crazy process....
 
FYI, most places will not offer you interviews until your Dean's Letter comes in on November 1 (or whatever the date is this year). You may hear from your home program sooner than that. Considering that the interview season does not start until mid-November at the earliest, y'all should chill, open a beer, and enjoy the fourth year. Even if your email is typed in wrong, all messages will show up in ERAS.

Anyone apply to drexel in IM categorical and not hear from them? I'm getting nervous🙁

Really?? Some places in NY have told me there earliest interview date is next week!! I told them NO and had to reschedule to a later date.
