Interview Invites 2015!

I'm wondering if some of these places are sending invitations as they go through the applications. I haven't heard from either VCU, University of Maryland, or Mission, all of which people here have said that people have heard from. I think most places send rejection emails with the invites so not too sure what's going on. Too much anxiety!!!! 🙁

They probably sent out invites first.if invited candidates accept the interview,then the rest will get a rejection email
 
Rejection from Vidant.
Anxious to hear from rest of the 9 programs I applied to!
 
Just heard from Baystate today in MA, just got rejected......did anyone get excepted, because where were saying that their program is extremely competitive and i was wondering what kind of candidate they like to accept?

Hate to break it to you, if VCU didn't invite you, they probably won't. It sucks but their applicant pool has been on the rise since they got residency of the year or something a few years back. They state on their website that they will notify everyone by some date at the end of the month. I remember both they and UMD definitely let you know you've been rejected. It just happens after they've secured all their interview spots.

Temple; Abington; Christiana; Geisinger (Danville)

Rejections
Kaiser Permenante (MD) ; VCU

Can anyone confirm if UMD has sent rejections?

is UMD a really competitive program? i havent gotten a rejection letter (yet) but i didnt get an interview yet so im assuming rejection... i just thought they were one of the lesser competitive of the programs i applied to ....

i havent heard anything from umd (pgy1) and neither have 2 of my friends... maybe rejections come later 🙁

did you get an actual rejection from VCU? if so, when?

so if I haven't received a rejection or invitation yet, you would guess that I'm more than likely not getting an interview? Just checking to make sure I read your post correctly

I did not apply to vcu, but was told by a friend that applied to an amb care focused program that there was a rejection sent

EDIT -- Apparently this person had an incomplete application. Don't lose hope!

They were swarmed with visitors at midyear, offer a bunch of pgy2, affiliated with a school, and in a city. I think it is very competitive, but not quite Hopkins or MUSC level of extreme (from what I've heard)

I mean, I don't want to dash dreams or break spirits. But if you're still waiting you're more than likely getting a rejection..
What I was saying was that the date they tell you on their site is the date of FINAL notifications (ie rejections). They send invites out way before that.

Lol I thought that last year then found out differently. They are up there in the same location as Hopkins and Baltimore VA. Those programs are on their own level of crazy competitiveness. UMD also takes a lot of their own students (and their students do rotations in that area-competitive advantage).. If I remember correctly, the UMD rejections come a long later. I remember feeling like "well no ****" when I received it lol.

yea i was confused bc i got offers from MUSC and UC which i assumed were more competitive oh well...
 
VA Southern Nevada phone interviews sent last week. KP Baldwin Park invites are rolling out today. Haven't heard from any California VA's just yet.

Sometimes it's difficult to tell what programs are specifically looking for, but you should be proud of yourself for getting MUSC and UC those are crazy competitive.

Charleston VA sent out invites early last week.
Seems like the VA invitations clustered around last week (obviously, I can't speak for every program), based on what I and my classmates have received.
 
I've gotta say that the selection process is so varied. I received interviews at Duke University and Inova Fairfax, but rejections at Wake Forest, Vidant, and University of Virginia. I thought Duke was pretty competitive (and I think it is?), so it's weird to not get interviews at the "lesser known" places. But I suppose it's because of UNC and VCU College of Pharmacy's presence in those areas.
 
Anyone heard from St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Arizona??
 
Anybody knows if any of the PGY-2 programs at the South Texas VA send out invites?

UMichigan gave interviews last Monday ... that might be for those requesting early dates tho

Yeah, all four of the ones I'm waiting on have already offered interviews and rejected people (except UNC, I don't think they've rejected people yet). I don't have high hopes for any of them.
