yea i know the feeling unfortunately =/ but idk anyone that heard from UNC ... have people heard from Vanderbilt? i have a friend that applied there.

I know 3 people that have interviews with UNC, they sent them out via email yesterday. I also know people who have interviews with Vanderbilt and that have been rejected by Vanderbilt.

I'm also curious as to what kaiser programs people have heard back from....
 
My friend has heard from Kaiser Northwest and Kaiser Kern County
 
This is from one of the med residency forums:

"Guys, remember there are waves. I looked at last years and there are definitely dates I received invites after what was posted.

-Sometimes programs have different readers for a block of candidates; some readers are faster than others
-Sometimes programs invite rotators and home students first; then send out invites after
-Sometimes your mentor calls a program or that program calls your mentor to discuss candidates from your school and you get brought up prompting an invite 1-2 weeks after the first wave goes out"

Don't lose hope if you haven't heard back yet!
 
Has anyone heard from Moses Cone amb care? I heard some people got phone interviews but nothing after that
 
Anyone heard anything from any of the Penn Medicine hospitals?
 
Has anyone recieved a rejection frm UCSD acute care yet? I have just seen a few people have interviews and a few people like myself have not heard but nobody has heard if they have sent rejections that I know of.

Every place gets so many applicants basically it becomes a lot of a crap shoot. We are a typical community hospital that gets more than 40 applicants for every opening - most from local schools as we have a good name locally, but not nationally. UNC interviews very very few UNC grads for positions there - two years ago I think they only interviewed 8 UNC grads

But UNC always match with lots of their own grads
 
I told myself I would only go to a max number of interviews and I've officially hit my limit.
No more time, no more money, and by the time I'm done, probably no more energy.
Still waiting on two places but I'll have to decline if they offer.
 
Nothing prepared me for this whole residency limbo....is it accurate to think that there's a large group of us that are good, but not great candidates? We aren't in the first group contacted for interviews, but we aren't in the first group rejected either. So we wait, while other people report rejections and interviews....and we just get increasingly paranoid and start double checking PhorCAS to make sure our applications were actually submitted. I mean, I guess if I don't hear anything by match day, I'll assume it's a rejection, right? 😉
 
But, since I'm paranoid, has anyone heard anything from the 24 month health systems administration residency at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis?

we only have 2 people that fall in that category - (wait list) - it does surprise me you haven't heard yet - we have interviews starting in a week -

I haven't heard from 5 programs myself. I know that a lot of people are in the same boat. But something tells me that tomorrow, people will start getting the final emails.

Same here. I haven't heard from 5 programs, some very competitive. I'm applying for PGY-2 so I may be wondering if some of these programs may have early committed but never removed themselves from PhORCAS...

I know that some are sending some late next week as well from speaking to a resident at Tx Tech.

I know the wait sucks, but I guess we have to deal with it.

for anyone who has heard from vanderbilt for interviews, was it the children's hospital pgy1 or the main campus pgy1 that sent out invites and/or rejections?

How about Memorial Hermann TMC after their Skype interview rounds? => Update, they just sent rejections 01/23

Parkland did say they will be contact by phone "as needed". I'm guessing all the rejections are not the needed situation. I might shoot them an email next week or so

... OK! I looked at last year's thread and it said some programs sent out invitations on the first week of February. Let's hope that's the case =)

i've applied to 10 programs, got 1 interview (Black Hills VA), and 2 rejections. Heard back from 1 place that they received my application. this wait is KILLING me

It was the main hospital, PGY1 program
 
I've been trying to keep a positive attitude but I cant help but feel frustrated... For those programs that have already sent invites, is it too much to ask to just let those that they've rejected know in a timely manner? I think i'm starting to go a bit crazy here
