Just got an interview at PUCO! I sent my optomcas application out over the weekend so it was super fast! I am trying to go to the sept 20th interview but I need to make sure my boss let's me take two days off first!

Congrats! I just scheduled my interview on 10/01. I was wondering if there is any information you can provide about the interview. What kind of questions do they ask you? Closedd / open file?

Has anyone with a C grade or a C+ grade in one or two of the prerequisite courses get an interview? I'm a little scared because two of my courses fall in this category and I already graduated...
 
UIWRSO invited me yesterday (OptomCAS submitted 9/1 and they received it 9/5). 😀 Has anyone received interview invites from UHCO?
 
I applied to Houston around 9/1 also and just got my supplementals up this week. I already heard from Pacific and UAB but nothing from Houston.

I called UHCO because everything's turned in except my OAT scores, which were released on the 3rd, and she said to wait a week for it to show up on the admissions checklist. I'm hoping to hear from them in the next two weeks. Also, I scheduled my RSO interview Sept 27 eek!
 
I haven't heard back from ICO after filling out the supplemental app...but I have scheduled an "admissions day" at IUSO and an interview at MCO!
 
To everyone asking about SCO, the personal interview was one on one, closed file, and lasted about 30-45 minutes. Each of us were assigned a different professor for the interview, so we didn't have to wait around for our turn. The questions asked were similar to what is on the SCO interview feedback. After that, there was an open file review with a counselor to go over gpa/OAT and pre-req requirements. It was all very laid back, and everyone was incredibly nice and welcoming. You'll love the school!
 
I received an invite from Midwestern. Scheduled it for the 20th of September.
 
I have my interview at UHCO this Friday (9/13) and don't know what to expect at all. I've heard they hand you your acceptance letter at the end. Does anyone know if this is true?
 
Can anyone tell me how interviews at PCO are stuctured? I've got an interview there in a couple weeks and any information about the types of things they ask, if it's a group or individual interview, etc. would be very helpful to know.
 
Yes! However, I just took my OAT and did poorly. Other schools are telling me to retake it before inviting for an interview. I plan on retaking the OAT in December.

If you don't mind me asking, what was your application like- what were your oat scores? GPA? Number of hours in terms of experience?

My app was put on hold since I didn't have my oat scores available. Just took the oat yesterday tho and did poorly. Less than 300 on TS and AA. :/

I read online that they do a closed interview first. The exit interview is the open file interview. When is your interview scheduled?
 
NSU invited me to interview today. So now I have heard back from PUCO, UHCO, and NSU. Now time to try to schedule these suckers and take some time off work!

Where did you find that online? And my interview is at the end of the month, Sept. 30th.
 
I've gotten interviews from ICO, NOVA, and Indiana. And was told I'd should be getting one from NECO next week. Pretty excited!!
 
Can you still get interview invites if you don't have all of your letters of recs in? I'm still missing 2 from my professsors. I'm planning on submitting my app without them, but just wondering if my app would even be reviewed or just tossed aside and be put on hold until complete.
 
Anyone interviewing at PCO on Oct 4th? I am a little nervous on what to expect! First interview for optometry!
 
I got an interview invite exactly a week after I sent in my app to OPTOMCAS. Haven't even taken my OATs yet. Was not expecting to get an interview so fast, especially without having taken the OATs yet. Pretty excited!
 
Reviving this thread again:

Got invited to interview at NECO and Salus.
Put on hold for OSU and MCPHS until I retake the OAT.

Anyone hear from Nova recently? I applied early July and it's still "in process."
