2 TY interviews. No radiology invites yet. Check auntminnie.com October 2004 to find out rough dates when programs send out invites.

UT Houston and Henry Ford have given out interviews as per AM.

Do people want to share where they have gotten interview invites?
I would start, but I haven't gotten any yet..

one ty interview. no radiology. someone i know has received an interview from winthrop hospital in NY.

what are the usual dates that they start handing them out?

U of I Peoria

There's a pretty extensive list of programs that have offered interviews so far as well as the date they first offered them and the method (email, snail mail, phone call) by which they contacted people on auntminnie.com. Looks like about 50ish programs have offered some interviews so far.

Anyone else out there?

Is it ok to contact programs to see if they have reviewed your application yet if they have already started giving out interviews?

I think October is too early in my opinion to start bugging them. I'd wait till December.

I also would recommend waiting a little while longer before you begin contacting programs, at least wait until after the Dean's letters go out.

But I want to underscore the utility of doing this. It is especially important if you have programs you are extremely interested in or a region of the country that you really want to be in. Just call the coordinator to check the status of your application and express the reason for your interest in their program.

I am absolutely convinced that doing this got me four or five extra interviews.

I would call places you are REALLY interested in that have already offered interviews and ask for the status of yours. It got me a few TY interviews for sure, and likely a couple rads ones as well.

how many prelim/TY interviews will be "enough"? i've heard around 10...any other opinions?

thanks-

so, if I have not received an invite from a program that has now offered some can I now call/email them and express my interest or wait?

do interviews go out in only 1 batch or a few?

I got an interview from a program about a month after their first batch of invites... suppose I must have been in the second batch. I wouldn't start calling programs until mid-November, after Dean's Letters have gone out and programs have had time to digest applications. But that's my opinion, and I'm going through the process as well, so I can't pretend to know anything.

i agree with the previous post. you should give programs some time to go over apps...most programs are waiting until the deans letters go out. i also say wait till late november before you start making calls.

sigh, I give up on this thread. Apparently I'm the only one getting invites on SDN 😉. How I wish that were true.

St. Lukes, MI (invite) 11/4
MCW, MI (reject) 11/3
St Joe's (reject) 11/4

This is my first post, so forgive me if I get it wrong. I can add Ochsner -(invite)11/3.

Has anyone heard from any U of Cali schools?

nope, havent heard from any uc's.
heard from harbor-ucla and santa clara--

ive only heard from 6/44 programs applied....when's the flood going to happen?

I agree with you on the slow responses. On the other hand, I also don't have any rejects, so have been relying on this thread to determine if I've been passed over, although I'm not always sure that we're talking about the same programs. I think we are supposed to post invites for prelim and transitional on the "general" thread, and only post radiology invites here????? Is that correct? Or am I misreading the codes (I, R, etc...)So the long list that was put out a couple of weeks ago was for rad programs only? If so, I've missed out on a few, but with many still to go. Oh well, keep the faith, I guess.

So nothing new out there? Has anyone gotten rejects? Has anyone heard for certain that a particular program doesn't send out invitations until late November or even December (I heard that about Stanford). Are y'all posting someplace else, or just being lethargic, or keeping it all to yourselves? 😴

Aha. I forgot about checking there. It's probably just masochistic to do it anyway, but thanks.

Yeah, I have been checking there as well and verifying with classmates so it's accurate as far as the midwest goes anyway. Check the thread " post 11/1 communications #2)".

Ill. Masonic: (I) 11/10. That was very nice to come home to after my Loyola (R). Too bad for them 😉.

That's five so far! 🙂 Good luck to everyone on the trail! I have met some very nice candidates out there.

I have been checking there now. I am a LITTLE slow because I also recently discovered freida which has a wealth of info, including how many interviews each program did last year, salaries, etc...but I suspect that you wiser folks aleady knew that. Duh.
