Hey, I was hoping someone could give me a little advice. I've been a lurker for the past couple of months and this forum has been extremely great. Anyways, my question is that I just got my first interview offer and I was wondering whats the most appropriate way to deal with this since I didn't plan on getting any offers until several weeks from now and don't plan on interviewing until December. I didn't realize the application is processed this quickly or I wouldn't have applied so early. Do I just email them now and say I'll get back to you in a month or two or will they look down upon that and I should have the interview as soon as possible? I applied to several schools in that area and don't want to keep flying back and forth. Thanks! I'll try to stop being a lurker from now on 😉

i'm assuming you got the invite by e-mail? or snail mail??
you shouldn't schedule interviews for right now if there are other programs that you are more interested in..you wouldn't want to interview at one place at an odd time.....maybe you should give it a few weeks and see how many others you recieve in that time and then take it from there.
just my opinion, of course.

Is it BID in Boston? I heard from them too. I live here so I don't have the exact same problem, but I was planning on doing most of my interviews in dec/jan. I will probably see what their options are, if they give me a good day before then I may just go.
Thanks for your replies. Yeah, yaah, it is BIDMC. I guess I'll just do what you said ririri and email them and let them know I plan on letting them know when the best time is in a few weeks but i'll go ahead and email them back now to let them know I'll email them again later. Yaah, if you find out more information about when they offer interviews and stuff, could you PM me? That'd be great and I'll do the same. Thanks guys.
