Per NCI's program coordinator: First round of interviews are in first week of January and all invites have gone out. Afterward, they assess what they saw and will often send out invites for a second round of interviews.

i interviewed at the NCI last year for their one spot. Be warned that it is offered outside the match and not suprisingly, decisions are very political. I would not be surprised if the position is already promised, so you may want to think twice if you have to make two trips to bethesda. fyi, i'm not sure who matched for 2004, but someone told me it was a girl who interviewed who actually brought her father to the department on interview day!*?* it was really kind of shady. i probably should of saved my $200 plane fare.
