i need some serious help fast. what should I say in my interview on monday. I was in 2 past residencies. the first one i resigned voluntarily and wrote 'for personal reasons' (but acutally i resigned before they could take me to ACGME trial) and the second one i had to leave for medical reasons. what would be the best explanation in order to match? what should i say in my interview ?

Well, as I understand it, it is pretty much unavoidable that they are going to contact your former programs to ask about your departure--they may have already done so. As such, you really don't have any option but to tell the truth.

I'm not sure what to say about the first one--if you are lucky the program will just say you resigned and leave it at that; if not, they will tell them it was in lieu of being fired. In regards to the second residency, they aren't supposed to ask about the medical condition but it may come up in regards to whether you will be able to fulfill all the necessary duties (as has been discussed in one of your recent threads).

do some places give interview invites to everyone just to fill a quota? i've gotten an interview with them for 4 years in a row, but never matched into it as of yet. i really don't get it. im thankful for the interview, but if im just a number that's not fair to me, to spend money on a flight and hotel.

So after four years of interviewing with this program, why the sudden concern of having to answer these questions? Haven't you answered them already?

There's no quota. Programs don't get any income from the application / matching process. It is surprising that a program would interview you and not match you 3 years in a row. As mentioned above, I assume they know your background by now.
