Enjoy the warm weather while you're out there!!!!
Especially since you're spending the next four years here in MN.

I am sensing some peer pressure arising from a certain contingent in this thread... 😛
👍👍 Everyone knows Minnesota is waaaaaaay cooler than Western!😀
Literally.
Glad you got the interview worked out, it will make a good story for sure 🙂.

Wait, what? Peer pressure? Nahhhhhhhhhh. 😉
Dang it. I can't find a smiley with a halo.
Glad you finally got your interview confirmed.
So... I just spent the past five and a half hours on a plane trapped behind a sleeping man who had eaten something that reeeeeeeally didn't agree with him. Like, really.
But it's all good... I'm in Pomona! 😀

OMG!!! This must have been the EXACT SAME MAN that was on my flight going to interview at Western!!!!!!!! Maybe it's a test that they put all the interviewees through. I must have failed miserably though because after enjoying pre-flight cocktails, there definitely was some cursing involved.
Good Luck CT!!
Good luck! Hopefully this is one of those "bad dress rehearsal, perfect performance" kind of deals...all this stress just gave you good interview karma!
For those that have been following the insanity... I just decided to do some exploring via car.
The engine on my rental? Promptly died. In the hotel parking lot.
I finally got it to start, but with the noises it's making, there is no way in hell I am going anywhere in that thing. FAIL.
FML.
If this entire scenario weren't so laughably absurd, I'd be kinda miffed right about now. 😏

Call the company!! Don't they have 24 hour emergency roadside assistance? You need to do some exploring!
I did call, but I don't want another car from this company... I think they may be kinda shifty.
Now that I know how cheaply one can score plane tickets and hotel reservations in certain parts of CA, I will be back. Even if I don't end up at Western. 😀
I agree with what someone else said - this whole thing sounds like a really amusing story for some future book. Whether that chapter ends with "And that's how I got into Western", or "And after all that, I got rejected and went somewhere else" or "And I got accepted, and went somewhere else anyway", it's still nearly perfect as a book chapter. 😀

I'm keeping my MN-centric mouth shut. Tightly. Biting my tongue.
From your tales so far seems like things can only get better.
May make for an interesting discussion during your interview of an "intense experience you had to endure in your pursuit of becoming a vet."
Two OOS declines down on SDN alone... two to go?
Ha! By the end of that flight, I was wishing I'd sprung for the cocktails...
