Hey, anyone who had already an interview or heard anything about it, how about the answers or questions the interviewer asks--is it preferred you tell them a beautiful story or just improvise an answer no matter how long it will be? meaning everyone seems to get ready reading SDN and questions repeat but is timing important you think?😎

Timing is definitely important. Ideally your answer to the each question should last between 40 -60 seconds with good eyes contact and sincerity. Role playing your answers frequently would greatly help prepare you for the interview.

40 to 60 seconds?! i can see how answers to questions like what would you do if you caught a friend cheating can be kept that brief but what about potentially long winded questions like why dentistry?

I actually better know why dentistry than what would i do if i see a friend cheating. meaning, i wouldn't say anything but isn't it kind of ethical question--since that friend might be missing the knowledge for a dentist. tricky? btw do you know any other ethical situations cz i have no idea

I would say that whatever you do, try to sound like you are interested in something other than money, and long vacations in the tropics. Have a hobby someone may have heard of recently, have a book you have actually read for leisure recently, and read a newspaper sometime in the week before your interview. Be ready to tell someone why you want to be a dentist without sounding like a beauty pagent contestant.

Yea the ethical question is the one that's really stumping me as I prep right now. I have some 'difficult' situations but ethical? Hmm.

i don't think it matters how long your answer is, as long as you say everything you want to say in a clear & concise manner. i had some answers that were 30 seconds and i had some that were 7-9 minutes--it was fine.

also, i recommend strongly against preparing answers to the word because it will seem like you were reading from a script and telling them what you think they want to hear. familiarize yourself with what questions you think they'll ask and decide key points you'd like to talk about and go from there. too easyyyy
