How do you approach a q like "what do you bring to this program" I am having some difficulty with this one
I personally despise this question because it's basically asking you to cash in your hobbies/ECs for diversity points that will likely have no effect on the wellness of the class.
Regardless, there's a lot of different ways you can perceive and answer this question. Here are a few examples.
1-What are your strengths and how can you use those to collaborate/contribute in our community.
Ex.) In college, I was a TA and created study guides. I liked to keep things interactive collaborative and am looking forward to working together with my colleagues to master the medical material (don't use that-it's overdone).
2-What is a hobby/talent of yours and how do you plan to bring it to our school.
Ex.) I was really into running in college and want to continue that in college and start a running club. I feel like it's a great form of stress relief.
Ex.) I was on the cultural dance team in college, competed nationally, and we still do lots of fun events for ethnic holidays and post them on youtube. It would be awesome to get a group going here. (Go-to answer my gf gives that's got her through 10 years of these interviews).
3-Tell us about a hardship, how you overcome it, and how do you think your experience will help others.
Ex.) Self-explanatory.
If you don't have anything you think stands out:
-What's your biggest hobby? How can you harness that into something productive? Say that.
