OK, I've had one interview so far (back in october) and one of the questions they asked me was:

How did you study for the DAT?

At the time i didn't think much of it. But i got DENIED, so of course everything i could have possibly done has gone through my head a million times. In answering the question I didn't have much to say. I just said i studied a lot and took a Kaplan course. But, the more i have thought about this question, the more it confuses me. I think i did good on my DAT (b24 c19 o18 rc20 qr15 AA:19 TS:20 PAT:26) so what the h.e.l.l. do they care how i studied for it? Am i missing something with this question? Am i reading too much into this? Did anyone else get this question, what did you say?

I'm not bitter (ok maybe a little lol), and don't think this is the reason i didn't get in, but just in case i encounter another question like this, I want to be more prepared.

Thanks everyone.

Maybe they're not asking you how you studied for the DAT. Maybe they're asking you how you'd study for the NBDE.

You're thinking too much into it. I answered the question honestly too and I got into Penn.

yea, you might be thinking too much into this.....

Yea, i figured. thanks guys.

2 options:

1.) it's a standard question to learn about your study habits
2.) they were concerned about your QR score and were discreetly giving you a chance to explain why it was so much lower than the rest of your scores.

Keep your head up...it's still early. I didn't get into my school until February.
