Interview Question

All the schools I interviewed at seemed really chill. I feel like it mostly has to do with your mindset.

Depends on who is interviewing but these were laid back and conversational:
BU, UNC, Case, Creighton
UDM and MW AZ were more structured with ethical questions and probed me on my app while writing down my answers.

that's awesome!! makes sense! I'd be nervous about my top schoolsI felt a bit much re pressured because I really wanted to get in but the interviewer was super chilled we spoke about fantasy football teams and basketball.

UConn pretty much focused on all of the negative aspects of my application, the questions read right off of the sdn interview page for UConn with a few unsurprising odd ball questions thrown in based off my extracurricular activities. I hated how the interview was the last part of the day, stressed the whole time I was there. YMMV.

I guess it depends on the interviewers. My case interview was the most laid back out of ~10 interviews I had.

UCLA's interview was pretty laid back. I'd say the most stressful part of that day was the writing portion while the actual interview was more like a friendly conversation. What about Harvard, UConn, and UCLA?

MMIs tend to be less laid back.
Always remember they like you on paper and thats why you're there. Find confidence in that. The interview, in my experience, is to get to know you and make sure what they read on paper matches up with their perception of your personality. So, as long as you can passionately speak to what you've put on paper, which they already like, you'll be fine. I think tough interviewers will ask you about some negative aspects of your application. I had 2 questions in multiple interviews that asked me about a negative aspect. So think about how to communicate them as a learning experience etc. My 2 cents after interviewing at a few last year. Most of mine were conversational and very friendly (UAB, DCG, NOVA, UF, UMB, Indiana) and only one seemed like I was in a hot seat (VCU- still friendly and straightforward but not conversational). Good luck.

For example, I had one low gpa semester because I played a sport and didn't do a great job balancing everything during a post-season run.
