Having done a short search, I read that there are some people who visited and interviewed with schools on the weekends. Is this common? Are schools accommodating to those who work full time and cannot take days off during the week to attend interviews

i think i read about it once on sdn somewhere, but i personally know of noone that has been able to do this. i hear more stories about how they are not as accomodating rather than accomodating.

I had a Saturday interview at Harvard, but i think it was because they were behind in interviews, so they started doing some on saturdays.. the ad comm didn't like it though, so i doubt they'll continue. sorry nubian 🙁

I'm gonna get fired

So what do those of you do who have laboratory classes while you interview, considering that missing more than 2 classes in most lab class results in failure? Can you just plan interviews for fri. afternoons?

What a pain in the ass this process is going to be... 👎

I'm in that exact same predicament. I'm going to be making up 3 labs this coming academic year (I graduated in 1999) and I'm worried about how I'll be scheduling interviews... any thoughts/ideas/or wisdom gained from experience out there?

Thanks!
