interview questions

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
There are as many answers to your question as there are interviewers out there. That's probably why no one responded. Most places ask about you, things that are unique on you CV, etc. I got a lot of the "Where do you see yourself in 10 years" question. And invariably they ask you to question them about the program. Several of my interviews consisted of the guy saying: "So, what questions do you have for me" as the FIRST question. Those are the worst.

You may get pimped (rarely), or asked to design a research project. Or tell me about a case you were involved in, and so on. And see the thread on MGH for their unique panel interviews.

Also, everbody wants to know what other programs you are interviewing at. And I got a lot of questions about people at my program, such as: "How's Dr. Smith these days," and things of that nature. But as I said, everyplace is different, and every person is different. Remember, they are just trying to get a feel for what kind of personality (if any) you have.
