interview questions

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
1. Can you talk to me about the clinical requirements?
2. Do students find/schedule their own patients?
3. Can you describe the outreach opportunities?
4. How would you describe the relationship between students and faculty? Students and students?
5. Do students do molar endo/surgical extractions/thirds/implants/whatever?
6. When do students enter the clinic?
7. What is the area like?
8. Research opportunities?
9. Question about something you googled and found interesting

And also keep in mind that many of the general questions you may have, can be found online or will be answered in the presentations. So make sure to have an ample amount of questions so you don't run out lol

I liked to put them on the spot. I asked what they thought some other schools do better, or what they think their program needs to improve upon. As long as I phrased it correctly it led to good conversation. You probably want to be clicking on some level before asking this however.

I recommend asking open ended questions in order to build rapport. When they say, do you have any questions, it's an invitation to take the conversation in direction you are curious about. It's not an opportunity to grill them and collect discrete data.
