Just curious as to what the standard coduct is for asking questions at an interview. Is it acceptable to bring a sheet of questions in, or should I have them memorized? Thanks for the always awesome help 👍

Well I got an interview DVD/book from AZCOM that has "tips for a good interview" and it says to bring in a small notebook with you to "write down answers." So maybe I will just for AZCOM, but who the hell knows?

What's wrong with bringing in a sheet of questions to the interview? I thought it looks like as if you are prepared.

I have a question- I have a small, leather-bound leag pad holder with a pen slot. Is that what we are talking about in referencing notebooks? Also, mine is a mauvey-toned pink. Is that too little girley?

Lots of people brought notebooks with them during my interviews. They used it to reference when they were waiting to go in for the interview and then to take notes during presentations. There is nothing wrong with bringing something like that. What I was referring to was bringing in a sheet of questions to ask with you into your interview. You should have them memorized or even be able to come up with a question based on things discussed during your interview. I think it shows lack of preparation if you have to look at a piece of paper when you are asking questions during your interview. I never saw people take their notebooks in with them, they always left them in the waiting area. Just my opinion.

i dont think there is anything wrong with having your questions written out... just incase you get nervous, at least you will have something solid written down that you can ask instead of saying "umm...ehh, i dunno...."

For what it's worth: I had my questions written down on a legal pad within a leather portfolio. I referred to them during the interview. I was accepted to the school.

You should have questions not only for the sake of having quesitons but to help YOU gain information that will help you to decide which school you want to go to. And if that is the intention of your questions, your interviewer(s) should recognize your sincerity and do their best to provide you with appropriate answers.
